Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9, 1976, at Beaumont Puy of Domme. From a very young age, both her dental doctors parents and teacher mom supported her love of drama and theater. The passion for theater was the one which trumped her original desire to become a primatologist. Her rise to fame as an actress in her early years was swift and marked by her early successes. Following her studies in 1998 she was a participant in an French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning the journey to become an actor. While she attended The Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has stayed away from her religious upbringing and has stated that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to her acting profession, she has also pursued modeling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Photographing is also a hobby and she has recently displayed her work in the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her photographs concentrates on fame and the spotlight. Cameras are focused towards journalists who scrutinized her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and fame with her starring part in the film Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award shows around the world. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, ranging from British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
