Richard B. Cheney, prominent public servant and businessman, is the vice-president. Cheney was a familiar name on the Washington political scene. George W. Bush would be his Fourth U.S. President. Bush announced the nomination of Cheney to be his vice president run-off partner in July 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney was a chief of staff to presidents. He also was a member of the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense and was a part of his country in many capacities. Cheney is a man with integrity who is respected by Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney believes his role as a member of his position in the Bush administration is to act as an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney has accepted the Republican Vice Presidential nominating in 2007 said his hopes were high for serving under a president that can work across political lines and collaborate with rival political parties by fostering goodwill and working towards a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney born Jan 30th 1941 Lincoln Nebraska, the son Richard Herbert Cheney the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he relocated along with his parents into Casper in the western region of Wyoming and his father directed the district for soil conservation in Casper for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
